People in the church

Rev Mark Capron (Rector)

Mark is the Church Leader for the group of churches, having moved here in 2016 with his wife Helen and their children. Mark has a passion for opening the Bible making it accessible as possible to people of all spiritual and physical ages. Mark is musical, playing piano, violin and teaching himself the saxophone. He listens to a wide blend of music including contemporary worship, choral, organ and has recently begun writing music for worship. In downtime Mark is a keen sportsman and especially enjoys following cricket.

Rev Karen Gower (Curate)

Originally from Norfolk, Karen grew up in New Zealand and is excited to be back in the area to serve our group of churches. She recently completed ordination training in Cambridge and moved to the village to work with Mark as our Assistant Curate. She is passionate about sharing the love of God, helping people grow in their faith, and flourish in their God-given gifts. When she's not learning the ropes of her new role, she also enjoys the odd pub quiz, time with good friends and even a bit of gardening.

Alan Crawshaw (Licensed Lay Minister)

Alan serves the church as a Licensed Lay Minister. He has a passion for ministry to children and parents and assists in the leading of our Bubbles Children's group during The Gathering services as well as organising the family fun mornings throughout the year. Alan is gifted in the use of engaging resources in sharing the Gospel.

Neil Adams (Licensed Lay Minister and Church Warden)

Neil has been an active member of St Nicholas Church for many years, ministering at both St Nicholas and within the Dersingham benefice. He is a Licensed Lay Minister as well as a Churchwarden and often leads and preaches during our services.

Tom Wheeler (Church Warden)

Tom along with Neil oversee and organise a great amount for the life of the church here. Tom is an active member of the church and also the wider community in particular, enabling strong links to the Scout and Guide units.
